Chapter 6 - 1553 Words
I had no idea of what this liquid had been, but I didn't think that it would be something that I would ever become accustomed to. He set his goblet down, and sighed before standing, and walking to sit next to me. I feared the worst, and hearing him say “It is a very valuable drink. Do not waste a single drop.” had made me know to drink it, no matter of how the taste had appalled me. Taking a little bit of a breath, then holding it, I had drank it down as fast as he had. The taste made me feel like I was going to choke and have it come back from my mouth, but I forced it down. Once I set the goblet down, there wasn't a drop left in there. He moved his hand, and moved a finger, running it along my chin. Moving it back, it showed a couple of drops of the liquid that hadn't made it to be within my mouth. He held his hand out, in a manner of I needing to take what he had on his finger. I felt degraded, but I relented, his words still in my mind of making me lower than of a commoner.
Getting closer, I had opened my mouth, and licked what was left, making sure to not let any part of it be left over. A strange thing had happened, though... The liquid didn't taste bad at that moment. It had in fact tasted well. I wondered of how it had been that it had tasted better when I had licked it from his hand than of drinking it within the goblet. I lifted myself when I had cleaned his hand of it, closing my mouth, but holding a puzzled look upon my face. It was apparent enough for him to look at me with interest, and I had paused from speaking, not wanting to upset him and tell him something that he didn't want to know about. He lowered his hand at last, and just stared at me for a few more moments, but then looked away, and said in a seemingly rushed voice, “Finish eating.” I had done as he had asked, and once I had, the male had come in, cleaning everything up.
There had been a great deal of questions in my mind, but the only thing that had happened was of seeing movement. He had moved, and lifted my legs only slightly, placing them on pillows so that they would stay straight. “Sleep now. Dawn has started, and so the lessons will be over for now.” I had started to lay down, and after I had, I sighed, feeling the softness the pillows were giving my body. It had seemed so very different than what I had ever known, and it was starting to make me feel greatly sleepy. The food filling my belly, the manner of not having slept, truly, and now of such softness being on my back. I turned my head, and immediately my heart jumped as I had also moved, rolling away from Raziel, who was now lying almost directly next to me. I had found my own mistake quickly as I rolled onto my front, feeling pain shoot through my body. I yelled in pain, and was rolled immediately back to being on my back.
He had rolled me, and now both of his hands had been at my wrists, holding me in place as he hovered above me. My heart raced while he stayed there, and it almost seemed like he heard it. Though he hadn't moved his body, it had seemed to look almost like that of a beast, hearing the fear of it's prey, and of it readying to strike. I turned my face away, it feeling quite heated, and had felt a little more pressure on my wrists. He was leaning in, and though I worried of what was to happen, I heard only his voice. “I will sleep next to you. You will not turn in any manner. If I see you change your position from laying on your back, I will lay on top of you. You are desirable, so I don't think I'd be able to stop myself from showing my interest in you.” At hearing that, my heart raced tenfold, fear gripping me so greatly that I felt completely frozen, not daring to move even to breathe. He had felt that I understood him, and so let go of me, laying next to me in order for him, and apparently myself, to sleep.
I didn't think that I would be able to rest at all after that terrifying notion, but somehow I ended up falling asleep. When I had awoken, I looked around, not finding anyone nearby. I looked to myself, and I hadn't been touched. There had seemed to be nothing out of sorts at all, and everything still felt as it had been before I had slumbered. This was the second night that I was to be here. Once this night would be over with, I would be able to finally go back home. I felt that I hadn't gained any form of lessons, and wondered of if I was really to have them. The moment that I started to wonder about being able to move from the room, someone had entered within the room. It had been Temari. I was amazed greatly that he had come in here. I also feared for his safety. It was so fast of feeling him having his arm around my neck, now holding my tightly, that I couldn't react for a moment. “I couldn't help but see you after hearing that my sister had gotten hurt. No beating will stop me from seeing you to make sure you're alright.” I embraced him as tightly as I could, happy that I was able to see him.
Once we had moved from the embrace, I had seen that after his worry had left, there was a broad smile on his face. Being curious, I had asked him of why, and he had said, “I never would have imagined that my sister caused so much of an impact on the lord that she would become married to him!” My expression became one of horror. “...when was this decided?!” I tried to hold my voice down, but it wouldn't let me. “Sister... I thought you knew. He went to our parents, and said that he was so impressed that he was going to pay for you to be his bride. Mother and father were overjoyed to hear it, and immediately told him that you were his. Getting paid that moment at that moment had made mother almost have a heart attack.” My heart sank a thousand times over. Even though I heard Temari speaking to me, trying to see of if I was alright, it had seemed so far away. It was seeming further and further away, him yelling only sounding like a very faint whisper.
I suddenly awoke with a start, and had seen Temari there, as well as of the woman that had tended to me last night. Temari hugged me tightly, crying while he did. I held him in return, and wondered of what happened. “You fainted. This adorable boy yelled for me, and had me check over you. I never would have imagined that he was your little brother.” She smiled a little, then moved from the room so that I and Temari would be able to speak in private once more. Once he had been done in crying, and calmed down, I had him help me stand. I couldn't stand sitting down a moment longer. Once I was able to stand, my legs being like branches that weren't able to bend at all, I walked with him towards the door. It had opened so suddenly, I had moved Temari to be behind me. Who entered was the ruler.
Temari went to bow, but I only held him closely to being behind me. He gazed at me, I protecting my brother, and was amused with the look I gave him. It was one like that of a mother protecting her cub. He glanced over my shoulder, Temari being defiant, wanting to protect me, but was forced to be behind me. “Don't worry. I didn't hear anything. I also will not harm my future brother, nor my wife to be, so you both need not worry or give such determined protective looks towards me.” He chuckled, and it caused chills to move through me. After an awkward silence, I finally moved my arms, assured that he wouldn't hurt him for being in here, or of talking to me. Temari was convinced before I had been, and so had only been relaxed. When he came to be in front of me again, he only embraced me once more. I embraced him back, glad to have seen him, and watched him leave. There had been a few moments of peace before he had said in a light-hear ted voice, “So, as you've heard, you now belong to me.” My anger and rage towards this situation and this man had gotten the best of me, and I slapped him hard across his face.
Getting closer, I had opened my mouth, and licked what was left, making sure to not let any part of it be left over. A strange thing had happened, though...
