Background: Dark was born around the time of 6002 BC to an Ancient and a young Sanguine vampire woman. When Dark had been born, her natural olive skin tone had made the ancient wonder of if the woman had some sort of triste, and bore a child not of his line. It had infuriated him at the thought, but had found out through his own findings that it was not so, and that Dark was in fact his. The vampire woman, through the hardships of dealing with her husband making her feel miserable in the essence of calling her many things, had disappeared after Dark had become only 10 years of age. Dark’s father, after having realized the mistake of doing such things, decided to care for Dark on his own, not wishing to have another woman in his bed. Not wishing to have memories of the land, he decided that he would travel with his daughter to another. Upon Dark reaching her teenage years, her father took her from the land of Mehrgarh to go further west, heading towards Crete. Throughout their journey to Crete, Dark had learned quickly of her powers, and had found that she was able to talk with spirits, even if the spirit still had a physical form. She had made that discovery when one night, when they had rested for a bit, Dark had spoken to her father’s spirit while he was sitting and resting his eyes. She had not been able to speak to his spirit while he was awake, but had still found it quite interesting.
Through training herself, with a bit of aid of her father, she found that she could also shift into the spirit world, though it was for only a small amount of time. When she had been there longer than an hour, she felt herself fading from existence, and her father had pulled her back forcibly, making her learn a harsh lesson to never go for a second more than hour. She had learned of looking into one's mind and finding fears and the like while they were wide awake. When the pair had reached the land of Crete, Dark had been attacked by a vengeful spirit, able to be harmed by it even though she didn’t understand of why. She was told that some spirits were strong enough to harm a physical being, and it caused her a great dismay. Avoiding another hit from the spirit, Dark had moved away just fast enough before something of a light had hit the spirit, causing harm to it. She had never seen something like that before, and looked to where the light came from. It looked like a shaman, and after conversing with the person, was able to be trained to attack and defend herself from the spirits that would attempt to harm her. Dark had learned well, but it was her training, as well as her traveling, that would have her be unable to find a suitor, for even though her father looked like a man of wealth, indeed he had allowed his daughter to age too much. Dark had learned quickly of needing to stop her age growth when she had hit the age of 21, suitors not wishing to take her hand because of her being far too old.
In 5200 BC, Dark’s father had taken her to Malta, a Southern European country consisting of an archipelago situated in the centre of the Mediterranean, 50 mi south of Sicily, 176 mi east of Tunisia and 207 mi north of Libya, with Gibraltar 1,091 mi to the west and Alexandria 937 mi to the east. By that time, the Black Sea had become a salt water sea when once it had been a freshwater sea. He had been very curious of the new land, and wanted more for Dark to have a bit of freedom away from those that would not want her. By this time, Dark had become comfortable enough to have mastered her spirit powers, able to see of what others had for fears among of being able to speak greatly with the spirits, and had a scythe, that she had called the reaper’s scythe, that could in fact kill spirits to send them to their eternity within the river styx if she should ever had her life in danger from one. In the manner of general purpose, she is able to enter into a person’s mind and speak with their spirit while her physical form can speak to anyone else as she would be able to do so. Dark could also venture forth to the river styx to be able to speak to those that had rulership within it, wanting to learn as much as she could of her powers.
Dark and her father had stayed within Malta until 5000 BC, where they would travel once more to continue to see the ever-changing world around them. For the next millenia, Dark and her father had traveled throughout the old world, tasting wine from Persia, seeing the jewelry of Africa, the farming that had been reaching Europe, and when they had been able to enter within the lands of Asia, the domestication of Rice. Some things were wonderments of the world, like the wheel in Mesopotamia, and of the beer brewing in Egypt. What had been something great to see according to Dark was when the origin of the Julian Period had happened in 4713 BC, and of animal husbandry, the practice of domesticating and breeding livestock. Many things had transpired within her life, but it wasn’t until 3500 BC, after the world had started to have some sort of writing ability at the time, that Dark’s world would fall to shambles.
Dark’s father had protected her, and she had managed to try her best in protecting him as well, but the appearance of her mother had changed much of that within an instant. Seeing the woman, and of talking to her, Dark had wanted nothing to do with her at all, finding that though her mother had reason to leave, she had still abandoned her to her father in the end, and that she was found to only be selfish. Her mother had cursed her on that day to never have a happy marriage, and disappeared to talk to Dark’s father. Dark hid herself away from her father, not wanting to see of what he would speak of after such an encounter, but that had not lasted long at all. A yell was sounded within the night, as was a scream, then of more shouts of pain, and Dark wasted no time in looking to find of what had happened. Coming towards the smell of blood, she became horrified at seeing the sight before her. Her mother had been killed, and though she hadn’t cared, she saw that her blade was stained with blood, and that her father was now bleeding profusely.
When conversing with her father, she had heard that it was her mother that had stabbed him, as she had thought, but it was out of an accident instead of on purpose. Through her father, she heard that her mother was defending him as well as Dark from those that would wish their demise, but they had ambushed them both, and the one that was behind her had moved too fast, her mother catching her father with the dagger. Dark didn’t understand of why he was bleeding so badly, and found out that it was because of more than one stab wound at the same area. Unable to heal him, or to help him, she only watched as her father died in her arms. She swore to him that his death would be avenged, but he only wished for her to not cry, and to live her existence to the fullest, finding love, and being able to be happy.
After the proper funeral that she had given him, Dark started to travel once more, not wanting to talk or be around anyone other than being near someone that would be of use for a small amount of time, and then be done. She has lived a life of solitude since that time, helping only when she had seen something similar to her own life in her father dying too early. Seeing all that she had seen, the human race had not yet ceased to stop amazing her, even though it was a never ending cycle of repetition when countries would war over each other, causing pain and suffering. She wanted nothing of that, but yet found it everywhere. She had become so overwhelmed with it that she had, when it had become 1000 BC, decided to sleep deep under the earth’s surface.
It would not be until 1500 that she would awaken again, and with her awakening, she had found the world had changed a great deal. She came upon a new land, and with it, she decided that she would start there in being able to once more see of if the world would be something that would repeat it’s mistakes, or of if she would be able to find something more than just war, hoping the world would be able to have peace and only continue on their discoveries.
